What is Passive Neurofeedback?

Micro-Current Neurofeedback is a new approach to treating a number of neurological conditions including, anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, lack of focus and more. It involves using low-level electrical currents to stimulate specific areas of the brain in order to optimize brain function and alleviate symptoms.

There are two types of neurofeedback, active and passive. The primary difference between the two is the level of patient involvement in the process. With passive neurofeedback, the electrodes send low-energy radio waves through the brain and measure them on their return. The program then senses any disruption in its processing and the brain automatically readjusts itself so the waves follow a better more efficient pathway. Passive neurofeedback is a much newer technology than the old traditional neurofeedback modalities.
